I have not been able to locate Mary in a 1870 or 1880 U.S. Federal Census as of yet.
Mary possibly had an illegitimate daughter, Bertha. Family search.org shows she was adopted by Reuben Winslow Vredenburg. I do not find a marriage between Reuben and Mary. So Bertha M. Bidwell/Vredenburg may be their child out of wedlock.
Family search.org shows that Mary (Bidwell) Ardenburg/Vredenburg died 7 June 1892 in Coldwater, Branch Co., Michigan. I have not been able to confirm this yet.
On family search.org I also see where there was a Mary S. Bidwell who married Charles L. Cummings:
