George Batts, 80 years old, retired farmer of Henry County, died at his home in New Castle at 5 o'clock this morning following an illness of several weeks. Mr. Batts retired several years ago and moved to New Castle.

He is survived by five daughters: Mrs. Elliott Martinie, Louisville, Mrs. Chester Elston, Mrs. Warren Hardin, Mrs. Reuben Bailey and Mrs. Clarence Kyle, all of New Castle; four sons: Lindsey Batts, Finchville, Chester Batts, John Batts and Price Batts, all of New Castle; three brothers: Henry Batts, Lacie, John Batts and Ben Batts, both of Eminence and one sister, Mrs. Maggie Dickson, Louisville.

Funeral services will be conducted at the residence in New Castle at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon by the minister of the New Castle Baptist Church, Rev. T. C. Meador. Burial will be in the New Castle Cemetery.

GEORGE BATTS, 80, DIES AT HENRY COUNTY HOME

EMINENCE, Ky., Jan. 14.---George Batts, 80, retired farmer of Henry county, died at his home in New Castle Tuesday following an illness of several weeks. Mr. Batts retired several years ago and moved to New Castle.

He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Elliott Martinie, Louisville; Mrs. Chester Elliston, Mrs. Warren Hardin, Mrs. Reuben Bailey, Mrs. Clarence Kyle, all of New Castle; adn four sons, Lindsey Batts, Finchville; Chester Batts, John Batts, and Price Batts, all of New Castle; and three brothers, Henry Batts, Lacie; John Batts and Ben Batts, both of Eminence, and a sisters, Mrs. Maggie Dickson, Louisville.

Funeral services were conducted at the residence in New Castle this afternoon by the minister of the New Castle Baptist church, Rev. T. C. Meador. Burial was in the New Castle cemetery.
