RURAL MAN IS HEART VICTIM

Arthur Slanger Dies While Working Near Michigan City

Arthur Slanger, 42, residing at the intersection of state road 6 and Campbell Road, Valparaiso 1, died suddenly Monday morning while at work in the plant of the Moore Equipment company, on US 20 near Michigan City. He was taken to St. Anthony's hospital, Michigan City, where he was pronounced dead at 11 am. It is believed he suffered a heart attack.
For a number of years the decedent was a resident of Valpariso, being sales manager for the Ruggles Pontiac Sales and Service.
Surviving are the widow, Gladys; his father, Henry Slanger, near Garyton; two brothers, Garrett, Chicago, and Walter, Garyton and one sister, Mrs. George Schlobohm, Union Mills, Ind.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 pm Thursday at the Henry Slanger home near Garyton and at 2 pm at the McCool Lutheran church, with the Rev. J. A. Bescherer, of Porter, officiating. Burial will be in McCool cemetery,
Friends may call at the LePell funeral home on Monroe street after 7 o'clock this evening and Wednesday at 10 am at the Henry Slanger home near Garyton and up until time of the service.
