Darrell Jay Dunn 75 passed away Wednesday April 12, 2017. He was born on Mother’s Day at 2:00 a.m. in Cone Texas to Floyd and Oleta Moses Dunn. Darrell married Barbara Shepard Measles on August 5, 1978 and farmed for forty five years and sold real estate, he was a born again Christian since age 11, he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ralls and lifelong resident of Crosby County. Darrell was and endowed member of Emma Masonic Lodge 931 where he was made a Master Mason on February 14, 1972. He was also a duel member of the Lorenzo Lodge 1144 and was Past Master of both lodges. Darrell was a Life Member of the Knights Templar Commandery # 60, Charter member of the Lubbock Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, a member of the York Rite Bodies, Khiva Shrine Temple of Amarillo, and the Lorenzo group of AA. Darrell was awarded the Golden Trowel in October of 2004.

Darrell is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Pamela Suzette Rowland.

He is survived by his wife Barbara, three sons; Philip Blaine Dunn of Andrews, Jeffery Brian Dunn of Ralls, and Richard Todd Measles of Petersburg, three daughters; Jayna Ann Dunn of Floydada, and Joanie De’Lyle Higgins of Amarillo, two brothers; Lyndon and Gene Dunn.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday April 15,2017 at the First Baptist Church of Ralls with burial to follow in the Ralls Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. A visitation will be held Friday from 6:00p.m till 7:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
