ANDREW DAVID CALDWELL was the fifth child born to WILLIE and LUCINDA CALDWELL on December 9, 1949 in Brazoria, Texas. He attended Harry O. Tanner Elementary and graduated in 1965 from Charlie Brown High School . After graduating he attended Wharton County Junior College and Texas Southern University.
As a child Andrew joined Greater St Paul Baptist Church where he was an active member. He confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized.
He served in the U.S.Army from 1967 - 1970 and did two tours of duty in Vietnam. At which time he was the proud recipient of The United States award of the distinguished PURPLE HEART.
ANDREW will be remembered by all that knew him for his zest of life and outgoing personality, his devotion, kind headedness and generosity toward his family were unmeasured. His love and warmth extended beyond the boundaries of his family to his circle of friends. He was known as not having a mean none in his body. Andrew enjoyed life to the fullest and was an avid reader.
He was preceded in death by his parents, WILLIE SR. and LUCINDA, brothers, ROBERT RAY CALDWELL, EDDIE CALDWELL, and CURTIS LEE CALDWELL.
He leaves to celebrate and cherish his memories two brothers, WILLIE CALDWELL, JR. and RALPH CALDWELL; sisters AUTREY FAYE MILLIGAN, and RUTHIE MAE WOOD; one aunt ERNESTINE ROBINSON; one uncle, THOMAS CALDWELL; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends.
Active pallbearers will be Marshall Wade Tims, Roy Amerlin, Robert Caldwell, Rodrick Caldwell, Adrian Wright, Darius Wright and Steven Caldwell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Willie Caldwell, Jr., Ralph Quinton Caldwell, and Charlie Brown High School Class of 1965.
