Mae Belle (named Maybell by her daddy) was one of a kind! Everyone who knew her, loved her. She had spunk & a heart as big as Texas! There was always a twinkle in her eye. She loved her family more than anything in the world & she loved a good "pork chop". She loved to play yahtzee with everyone but really it was just about being with the people she loved crowded around together. She collected pigs (not real ones!) of every shape & size. We all loved her quick wit and her sassiness. She was known for her sugar tea and pea salad! She was the best Grandma you could ever have! She loved life & she lived it right up to the last minute. She loved a good cowboy breakfast & going on hayrides (in the truck of course). She loved sitting out on her swing feeding the donkeys, watching her hummingbirds, & filling up the little pool so she could watch her geese. Boy could she tell some stories! She had a little giggle that made us giggle. She loved to shop anytime you wanted to go! Some of her favorite sayings - "Oh for heaven's sakes!" "I don't know nuthin'!" "Nobody ever tells me nuthin'!" although she always knew what was going on. And boy you did not want to make her angry because she could have a temper haha! If you ever met her, you never forgot her. She loved us with everything & we loved her right back. It's a fact that this world is a lot sadder without her & they just don't make 'em like our grandma Mae Belle McCarty Walsmith anymore.
