Harold William Perrou, 82, of Valdese, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Catawba Regional Hospice in Sherrill's Ford, following a period of declining health.
Harold was born on October 15, 1934 in Burke County to the late Henry Perrou and Dora Zimmerman Perrou. He was retired from Valdese Manufacturing, where he worked in maintenance for many years and was a longtime member of the Waldensian Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kaye Scruggs Perrou, one daughter, Brenda Perrou Edwards, two sisters and one brother.
Survivors include his daughter, Donna Perrou Starnes and husband Michael of Hickory, three grandchildren, Hayley Huffman, Grayson Huffman and Rebecca Stanley and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 10:15 A.M. at the Waldensian Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Kevin Frederick officiating, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 A.M. at the Waldensian Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends following the service in Pioneer Hall.
