Martha “Marty” Jean Lang Barnett, 61, was called to Heaven on April 8, 2017.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, IA. Funeral services are Wednesday, April 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Lutheran Church of Hope, 925 Jordan Creek Parkway in West Des Moines with burial at 2:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in State Center, IA.
Marty was born February 8, 1956 in Marshalltown, IA. She worked at Emerson Process Management in Marshalltown from the time of her high school graduation until her retirement in 2011. In her spare time, Marty enjoyed gardening, riding on the Harley with her husband Jeff, and crafting. But most of all, she loved spending time with her precious grandchildren, family and friends.
Marty is survived by her loving husband, Jeff Barnett of Waukee, IA; daughters, Alicia (Kevin) Krasko of Saline, MI, Jenna (Danny) Doyel of Windsor Heights, IA; grandchildren, Claire, Collin, Kaden, Austin and Brody; siblings, Linda (Jim) Cox, Mary (Bruce) Reisinger, Janet (David) German, Joyce Barron, Lori (Craig) Kimball, Becky (Harold) Carr, Jerry (Stephanie) Lang and Bob (Patti) Lang; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and her extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Wanda Lang; brother, Jim Lang; and mother and father-in-law, Elaine and Gaylord Barnett.
