Eric Larrivee, 50, of Westport, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday. He was the husband of Rose (Correia) Larrivee, with whom he shared 16 years of marriage.

Born in Fall River, son of Joan (Arruda) Larrivee of Fall River and the late Albert Larrivee, Jr. Eric proudly served in the U.S. Army and was a Captain with the U.S. Army Reserves. A former Fall River Police Detective, he was part of one of the 1st bicycle patrols and volunteered with the PAL Marine Cadets. He was also a security officer at Charlton Memorial Hospital, drove the Mobile Health Van for SouthCoast Hospital Group and most recently was a patient service representative with Zoll LifeCor.

Eric served on the Westport School Committee, was a coach with Westport Youth Soccer and held memberships with both the Knights of Columbus, Tiverton Council and the Lions Club in Fall River. An avid sports fan that loved to golf and play poker, he was known for his abundant and contagious sense of humor.

Eric was the father of four children of Westport; brother of Michael and Brenda Larrivee, both of Fall River and Jennifer Larrivee of Quincy. He also leaves several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, December 7, in St. John the Baptist Church in Westport followed by his committal with military honors at Pocasset Hill Cemetery in Tiverton, RI.
