MCHENRY - Yvonne Rae "Chris" Becker, age 84, recently of McHenry, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017, at Wauconda Care Center, surrounded by her loving family. Yvonne was born May 2, 1932 in Minneapolis, MN to Victor L. and Hattie (Fahlin) Christopher. Raised in Minneapolis, Yvonne lived in several states during her lifetime. Over the years, Yvonne resided in Grand Rapids, MI, Salt Lake City, UT, Cambridge, OH, Prospect Heights and Buffalo Grove, IL, New Port Richey and Holiday, FL, and most recently, Fox Lake and McHenry for two years each before recently living in Wauconda. Along with being busy raising 4 children and numerous moves she loved to sing! She sang with three different Sweet Adelines choruses in Cambridge, OH; Country Chords in IL; and Suncoast Harmony in Florida over 45 years and her last days were filled with their music. Survivors include four children, Pam (David) Gish of McHenry, Illinois, Doug Johnson of Tampa, Florida, Gary (Susan) Johnson of Boulder, Colorado, and Bruce (Cindy) Johnson of Crystal Lake, Illinois; grandchildren, Dan Gish, Amanda Gish, Sabrina (Bud) Baylis, Matthew (Christina) Johnson, Kalyn (Andrew) Macchia, Amber (Justin) Capaccio, Kyle Johnson, and Kirstin Johnson; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Drew, Madison, Chase, Grace, Lorelei and Sarah; stepdaughter, Laura (Hal) Zorn; stepson, Jeff (Jeannette) Becker; stepgrandchildren, Corey (Candy), Jason (Tanya), Josiah (Angie), Brian (Sonia), Nick (Courtney), Marjorie (Jimmy); great-stepgrandchildren, Ethan, Reese, Ava, Josiah, Luke, Robert, Natalie, Rebecca, Lorraine, Adrian, Elijah, Ella, Lilly, Charlie, and Jenna. In addition to her parents, Yvonne was preceded in death by her first husband, Bryant Johnson 2007; and her second husband, William Becker in 2002. Celebration of Life and inurnment is being planned for Friday, May 26th at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights, Illinois.
