Passed away peacefully following a lengthy battle with pulmonary fibrosis on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in his 89th year. Clayton was born on July 25, 1928 in Wellesley Township to Edwin Hackbart and Hilda (Duench) Hackbart. Beloved husband of 61 years to Margaret (McLachlin) Hackbart. Dear father of Stephen Hackbart (Luisa), Dale Hackbart and Michelle Schnurr (Chris). Cherished Grandpa/Poppa of Chantelle, Mikayla and Spencer Hackbart and Zackary and Dylan Schnurr. Lovingly remembered by brothers Art (Marie) and Eddie (Jan), sisters Helen Berg, Gladys Hackbart and Ruby Thompson (Edward), sister-in-law Bernice Hackbart, brothers-in-law Bill McLachlin (Sandra) and Harvey McLachlin (Pearlanne) as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Fred, Walter and Wilfred Hackbart, sisters Vera Fischer, Florence Schmidt, and Mildred Lantz, as well as grandson Andrew Hackbart.
