The funeral service for Mr. Odis E. Champion, 89, of Anniston, will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2017 at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with Dr. Cecil Sewell officiating.

Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens.

The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Champion passed away on April 6, 2017 at home.

Mr. Champion was a native of Calhoun County and lived here most of his life.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Saks.

He was a loving husband, father, brother, papa, father-in-law, and friend.

Mr. Champion is preceded in death by his parents, Roland Lester Champion and Dahlia Agnes Gidley Champion, and brothers, Jack Champion, DeWitt Champion and Grover Champion.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bobbie Houston Champion; a daughter, Lark Milner and her husband, Gary; a son, Dickie Champion and his wife, Cathy; grandchildren, Anna Milner, Will Milner, Shane Champion, and Nick Champion; four great grandchildren, Lura Sierra and her husband, Pablo, Jake Champion, Dylan Champion, and Cole Champion; a great great grandson, Javy Sierra; a sister, Margaret Fuller and her husband, Paul; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Shane Champion, Nick Champion, Will Milner, Michael Fuller, Noel Johnson, and Dr. David Emerson.
