Darrell M. Walters, 60, passed away Thursday in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Wesley and Hester (Spears) Walters. He was united in marriage to Sue Snider on November 5, 1966. Darrell served his country proudly in the United States Army Reserves and enjoyed fishing, traveling, woodworking, and Broadway shows. He retired in January of 2006 after 39 years with the U.S. Geological Survey, Water Resources Division.

He is survived by his wife, Sue of the home; his mother, Hester King; one son, Mark Walters and wife Shereen; two daughters, Ginger Schones and husband Danny; Angela Page and husband Mark; one brother, Mickey Walters; eleven grandchildren, Kendra Schones, Jodi Thomas, Danny Schones, Jr., Michael Mitchell, Heather Thomas, Allan Walters, Courtney Page, Dakota Page, Abbey Walters, Alise Walters, Kayleigh Page; one great grandson, Jacob Thomas; his special extended family, Mark Troyer and Dewayne and Cheri Phillips.

He is preceded in death by his father, Wesley and his brother, Eddie Walters.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 3700 W. Robinson St., Norman, OK 73072.

Memorial services: Saturday, February 3, 2007 in the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
