Rita was born on November 11, 1929 in Clinton, OK to Delpha Oral Nichols and Mahala Lee (Crow) Nichols. She was the youngest of three children. She graduated from Clinton High School, being voted most popular girl. She attended OSU and then Southwestern in Weatherford where she met and married Buck Wagnon. They raised 4 daughters that she was very proud of. Rita was a successful real estate agent and continued her successful career in Edmond until 2012. Her free time was spent with family and friends going to movies and playing cards. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her best friends Bonnie and Jane.
Rita is survived by her 4 daughters, Carol Schuster and husband Mike, Rhonda Dimperio, Lisa Johnson and husband Cliff, Jennifer Harraman and husband Ken; 8 grandchildren, Sarah Ivey, Jon Schuster and wife Emily, Emily Dimperio, Thomas Dimperio, Reed Johnson, Brady Johnson, Preston Harraman, and Andrea Harraman; a beloved niece, Cheryl Lowry and beloved nephews, Rick Lindley and Steve Nichols. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Ella Babe Lindley, brother Bobby Nichols and grandson Brian Greene.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond, OK.
