Mr. Walter Thomas McSwain, 89, died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, at White Oak Manor.
A native of Cleveland County, Mr. McSwain was retired from the frame department at Drexel Furniture. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Abraham Kelly and Amanda Barrett McSwain; wife, Ellen Addie Sue Heafner McSwain; son-in-law, Coyt Hester; two brothers, Jethro McSwain and Hillard McSwain; and two sisters, Vangie Wright and Edna Wright.
He is survived by his daughter, Bernice Hester; granddaughter, Janet Hardin and husband, William "Bill," all of Shelby; great-grandson, Tim Hardin and wife, Jamie, of Waynesville; great- granddaughter, Leanne Hardin of Shelby; and special pet, Suzie.
Burial: New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery
