Viginia Lynn "Ginger" Gossett, 69, Colorado City went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 3, 2016. She was born on May 24, 2017 to Roland and Beatrice Crum White in Big Spring, Texas. Ginger grew up in the Big Spring before moving to Colorado City with her husband J.C. after they got married on May 17, 1964. They spent 52 years of marriage together, raising their family and spending time with grandchildren before his passing in October of 2016. Ginger was a quiet woman who made sure to get to the point when she talked. A caring a woman at heart she always made sure to put others first, especially family. She enjoyed the holidays when all the family got together, making sure to cook delicious homemade meals for the occasion. Her favorite pastimes were reading, going to garage sales, and admiring flowers, especially yellow roses. She is survived by her children; Tony Gossett of Colorado City, Jessie Ray Gossett and wife Nancy of Abilene, Danny Gossett of Colorado City, Tammy Watkins and husband Wally of Colorado City, and Windy Campbell and husband Kenny also of Colorado City, as well as by 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings James White of Big Spring, Vernon White of Big Spring, Judy Mann of Big Spring, Dee Dee King of Cahoma, and Serena Currier of Kilgore. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband J.C. and by her siblings Tommy White, Romey White, Johnny White, Cecil White, David White, and Roland White. A funeral service for Ginger will be held on Friday, April 7th at 10 am at the First Assembly of God Church of Colorado City with pastor Mike Foster officiating, burial will follow in the Westbrook Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kiker Seale Funeral Home.
