Miss Kimberly Ashlynn Sims passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017 in Rockford. She was born on February 19, 2005 in Fayetteville, North Carolina to Bradley Sims and Melissa Sue Sims (Jared Buttram). Ashlynn had a tender heart and was a very loving, silly girl that loved everyone. She enjoyed playing softball and was short-stop for the Alexander City White Shocks girl’s softball team.

Ashlynn loved the color purple and Alabama football. She always had a smile and was the sweetest girl. She was truly a beautiful girl-inside and out.

She is survived by her father, Bradley Sims of Alexander City; mother, Melissa Sue Sims (Jared Buttram) of Verbena; sisters, Briana Nicole Sims of Dadeville, Brooklin Diane Sims of Verbena; brother, Kaiden Roy Sims of Verbena; grandparents, Lisa Diane Scruggs (Jere) of Alexander City,Tony Ray Sims (Peggy) of Jacksons Gap, Raymond Abrams (Kim) of Rockford, Robert Dunham (Melinda); great-grandparents, Roy Sims (Gail); great-grandmother, Eyvonne Dunham of Goodwater; great-grandparents, George Ellis Vernon (Sue) of Rockford; aunts and uncles; Jason Sims (Laura), Shelly Whaley, Karen Thompson (Wade), Raymond Edward Abrams (Ashley), Dawn Rudolph, Charity Turner (Jonathan) and seventeen cousins.

She was preceded in death by great-grandfathers, Louis Dunham and V.O. Abrams.
