Lee Dice was born in Blackwell, Okla. to Robert & Virgie Dice. He grew up in Blackwell attending schools here. He began working with his father at Interior Decorating as a young man. He married Ida Belle Lute January 19, 1935 in Winfield, Kans. & they settled in Blackwell. He began working for the Blackwell Zinc Co. in 1941 in the Pottery Dept. later transferring to the Power House, retiring in 1973. He then resumed in Interior Decorating. He was a member of the Free-Will Baptist Church, the I.O.O.F. Lodge and the Rebekah Lodge. He is survived by his wife: Ida Dice of the home, 1 daughter: Collette Wright of Blackwell, 2 sons: Lee Roy Dice & Ron Dice both of Blackwell, 3 sisters: Opal Cline & Bessie Magers of Tucson, Ariz., and Fern Hoecker of Blackwell, 10 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Wilma Skellinger and Evelyn Huff and 1 brother: Cecil Dice.
