82, was born on August 3, 1934 in Greenville, KY to the late Arthur and Dorothy (Ford) Beard and returned to his heavenly Father on March 30, 2017. Mr. Beard was retired from Riverport Imaging Inc. (formerly Standard Gravure) after 43 years, and graduated with a bachelor's and master's degree from the Louisville Bible College. He was a retired minister with the Christian church. He served Buckner Christian Church for 30 years. He was a member of Kenwood Heights Christian Church. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 61 years, the former Janet McDonald Beard; sons, Randy Beard (Rhonda), David Beard and Stephen Beard (Donna); daughter, Karen Richardson; a brother, Arthur Beard; sister, Dottie Branson; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Beard will be held at 1:00 pm Monday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with interment to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm on Sunday. Memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer's Association
