Charles Cecil Brummett, 67, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at the Norton Community Hospital in Norton, Virginia. He was of the Pentecostal Faith and was a retired coal miner from Paramont Coal Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Ann Brummett; daughter, Tina Brummett; his parents, Charlie and Vicy Cox Brummett; and two brothers, Burnis Brummett and Ray Jessee. Surviving are four daughters, Lisa Hamilton and husband Robby, Janie Brummett, Amy Brummett and Beth Brummett; son, Tim Bounton; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six sisters, Margaret Wessels, Dusty Marshall, Myrtle Strouth, Martha Bryant, Chrissy Bryant and Janice Collins; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Charles Cecil Brummett will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 3, 2017 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Pastor Jeff Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens in Big Stone Gap, VA. Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M.
