MAYSVILLE -- Dorothy Jean Kehoe, 88, of Maysville, died Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at her residence.

Mrs. Kehoe was the widow of Richard Morris Kehoe who died Nov. 1, 1994.

She was a member of the Maysville First Christian Church, a member of the Women’s Garden Club, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, a former board member for Comprehend Services and a former board member of Lake Charles and served with the Community Food Bank.

Dorothy was born in Lancaster, on Sept. 20, 1928, the daughter of the late Arthur and Mamie Young.

She was a retired supervisor for the Kentucky Department of Human Resources.

She is survived by her son, Bruce Kehoe of Maysville; four grandchildren, Jamie Lee Kehoe of New South Wales, Australia, James Dustin Kehoe (Jill) of Churchton, Md., Jason Tolle (Lisa) and Brandy Tolle (Jarad Castle), both of Maysville; four great-grandchildren, Jesse Kehoe, Kahlan Kehoe, David Kehoe and Sara Tolle; and one great-great-grandchild.

Besides her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Cline Young, Paul Young and Ray Young; and two sisters, Ida Mae Pollard and Beulah Young.

Services for Dorothy Kehoe will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 1, 2017, with Rev. Sam Jones officiating.

Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Tolle, Dustin Kehoe, Tommy Tolle, Jarad Castle, Bobby Wilson, Walter Grayson and Dustin Bradford.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m.
