He is preceded in death by parents, Lem Denney and Lilly Mann Denney; wife, Christine Smith Denney; Son, Morris Denney; daughter, Clois Collenia "Cornelia" Denny Mitchell; grandchildren, Richard Denny, John Denny and Fred Denny; brothers, O.C. Denney and Lowell Denney; sisters, Earlene Denney, Thelma Shelton, Carrie Denney, Eva Alldredge and Willie Mae Denney.
Survivors include son, Lamar Denny (Lesa) of Blountsville and granddaughter, Vanessa Denny of Blountsville, AL.
Bro. Greg Stone and Bro. Gary Beam will officiate funeral services on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 11AM from Rock Springs Methodist Church with burial following in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Denney will lie in state on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Blountsville Funeral Home from 5:30PM until 8PM and on Friday morning from 8AM until 10:30AM.
