Mr. Barto had lived in Ithaca about 25 years. He was a contractor. For several years he had been a director of No. 2 company of the fire department, and the fire quarters were draped in mourning today. Mr. Barto came here from the Town of Candor, where he was born.
He leaves, besides his wife, a sister, Mrs. Pearl Meter of Owego, and two brothers, William and Van Ness Barto of Candor.
The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, from his residence. The Rev. R.T. Jones will officiate. Interment will be in Lake View Cemetery.
