Nancy Cadieux

Nancy (Tate) Cadieux, 85, of Somerset, wife of Dr. Roger E. Cadieux, died Saturday, October 19, 2013 peacefully at home, surrounded by her family.

A devoted wife, a loving and encouraging mother and a supportive friend to many, she was a graduate of Virginia Intermont College, Bristol, VA and earned a degree in Medical Technology from Doctors' Hospital, Washington, DC. She was a sixty-year member of First Baptist Church of Fall River. She was a founder of The Arc of Greater Fall River "serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities", and she was a member of The Friends of Saint Anne's Hospital and served as a hospital Gift Shop Volunteer creating beautiful floral arrangements. The love that God has for us was reflected in the life that Nancy led. The legacy that Nancy leaves us with is to serve others humbly, with lots of Southern hospitality and always with a beautiful smile. She will never be forgotten.

Besides her husband of 63 years, she leaves three children: Suzanne Eastman and her husband David of Iowa, Stephen Cadieux of Connecticut and Paul Cadieux and his wife Maureen of Somerset; grandchildren: Amy Quinn (Brian), Bryan Cadieux (Dee), Lindsay Cadieux, Tate Cadieux, Chris Eastman (Heather), Jon Eastman (Danielle), Jared Pineau (Kim), Jed Pineau (Jenna), Joe Pineau (Leah), Jeremy Pineau and Andrea Pineau; 9 great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Scruggs of WV and nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Michael J. Cadieux and the daughter of the late Anderson G. and Margaret (Keesling) Tate.

Her funeral service will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 AM at the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.

Visitation, Saturday morning prior to the funeral from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 228 No. Main St., Fall River MA 02720.
