Rebecca Stephens Hale, 85, of Columbus, died peacfully on Tuesday, October 11, 2016. Funeral Services are scheduled on Friday, October 14, 2016, 3:00pm, in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Road Columbus, GA 31907 with Reverends J. Grantham and Gerald Venable officiating. The family will receive friends at Striffler-Hamby one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Parkhill Cemetery.
Mrs. Hale, daughter of the late John Emmett Stephens and Amie Lucious Jones Stephens, was born June 9, 1931 in Columbus, Georgia. She was a member of Wynnton United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Hale is survived by her loving husband, Ernest B. Hale Jr.; son, Steve Hale (Kathy); daughter, Pamela Hale Coburn (Tommy); grandsons, Trippe Stephens Hale, Carson Scott Hale, Thomas Clay Coburn; brother, James Richard Stephens (Virginia); and sisters-in-law, Nita Stephens, and Jane Stephens.
Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Wynnton United Methodist Church, 2412 Wynnton Road Columbus, GA 31906.
