My children Douglas, Christine and I, met Georgann 25 years ago through her beloved shoe string cousin Carol Collins Gualtieri. They were not related my blood, their families met each other many, many years ago. I'd understand what shoe string relatives meant, as soon as my children and I met Georgann, she became a very big part of our lives. And truly loved and cherished us with all her heart as we did. Our hearts were filled with much love for each other, as Geogann never married, she now had a very special family in us. We all were truly blessed. Spending many holidays together and always being, being a very supportive angel in our lives. We simply adored Georgann.
Georgann had such an amazing Faith in Jesus, she came down with breast cancer, a short time before we met, to anyone, it would be a death sentence, as many women did not survive at the time. ( stage 5)...But with the faith and strength Georgann had, and prayer.. she took one day at a time and new God had a plan for her. Her surgery and treatment was very difficult, but Georgann never complained or felt sorry for herself. She had an amazing Faith God would get her through it. After many years Georgann was cancer free, it truly was a miracle. And resumed her life, continuing to work, go to church and attend to her charities. We were truly amazed by her recovery, faith and strength and prayer.. Then 15 years after her breast surgery, Georgann had a massive heart attack, and had Qudrupial by pass surgery. It was a very slow recovery, with her hospital stay and rehab. but with Georganns faith she and her dear friends she recovered completely. And continued with life, as if never going through her ordeal.Truly amazing women. Then 5 years ago, feeling very worn out, exhausted and very tired Georgann made a doctor's appointment and had many tests, she did sense something was very wrong in her body. The doctor went over all her tests and CT. and MRI results, and was told the devastating new she had Pancreatic Cancer, it was stage 4 plus. Georgann, reacted very calmly and was not upset. She declined treatment of any kind, Georgann called and told me and my reaction was shock and sadness. But Georgann was very positive, and what ever time she had left she would truly make the best of it. Truly amazing women comforting her friends from the news, the cancer returned.
A childhood friend of Georganns came back into her life, Arleen, she truly was an angel sent to Georgann. Georgann invited Arleen to move in with her 10 years ago as, they were both alone and truly needed each other. Arleen, was a devoted friend, almost the sister she never had. They truly were a blessing to each other. We often shared many wonderful times together. For that, I will always cherish deep with in my heart. I was very greatful Arleen was with Georgann, and made life easier for her. Five years had passed from the doctors findings with the Panreatic Cancer, it was a gift from God that Georgann was able to have a pretty much normal life, untill, the pain had gotten so bad, Georgann was admitted to the hospital and it was only a matter of time. Georgann was giving pain medication and went into a coma. And passed very quietly, eith her beloved friend Arleen and family at her bedside, and is in eternal peace. With Our Heavenly Father. I was beyond and overwhelmed with grief at hearing from Arleen that My dear precious beloved dearest friend had died. I will forever be so gratful Georgann was a part of our lives and truly honored she felt the same way about us. When my parents both pasted away Georgann, had gotten me through some very dark and sad days. I would tell Georgann, my parents took a piece of my heart, Georgann felt the same way when she lost from parents, Georgann comforted me with her kind words of support and love, and got me through their passings. Georgann loved and cherished my parents as I did, as her parents had died many years ago when she was a young girl.Georgann new and miss her parents as much as I missed mine. But was truly such a comfort to me over the years. When I found Find a Grave, I shared it was Georgann, she love this sight, and planed on being a member, but never got around to it, but when we were together, Georgann would open my laptop and go on my parents memorials and visits them, and the friends I had mad on Find a Grave. She thought it was an amazing sight and asked me to add her to my memorials when her time came. I promised my dear friend I would. It has taken more time then I liked, to add Georganns Obituary and my memories of my precious friend. I write this from the depths of my heart and soul, with sadness and tears. I will be forever greatful, my dear friend Carol introduced Georgann to myself, my children and my family and friends. Their truly no words to express our gratitude for this precious beloved soul to be a part of our lives. We were all blessed to be not just friends, but a bond of family. There is truly not a day that goes by, we do not think of Georgann, her delight at being with us, her out pouring of genuine compassion, and love for us and all who had the honor and great gift of knowing Georgann. Georgann I know you are with Our Lord and watching over all your family and friends on earth. And one day we will meet and be together for all eternity.. Till then my precious belove dearest friend Rest in Heavenly Peace and May the Angels Guide You into Eternal Paradise. I cherish you with all my heart Georgann. With all my love, blessings and prayers, Eileen oxox♥
