Cambridge Chronicle, 28 September 1918: "Mrs. Adelaide, wife of Samuel Butt, of 312 Pearl street, died Wednesday morning at the Homeopathic hospital, of pneumonia, following the Influenza. Mrs. Butt was born in Cataline, NF, 30 years ago and had lived in this city 20 years. Besides her husband she leaves three children and three sisters. The funeral was held from 524 Putnam avenue yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. L. W. Malcolm, of the First Evangelical church, officiating. Mrs. Carrie Burgees and Mrs. George Moore sang several selections. The burial was in Cambridge cemetery.
