Methusaleh's Brother William died 27 July 1854 age 5 of congestive fever.
Mother passed away Died 2 August 1854 age 31 of cholera.
both at Lambeth District, London.
His father then married, to Emma Lazell 5 February 1855.
"At some point John Left Methusaleh and Mary Jane with another family, wheather it
was at the time of his move to Hertford or at the time he moved to Newprot, is not known.
They were however mistreated. During a bout with the chicken pox, they were mistreated adn the pus
from the chicken pox running into their eyes making them blind."

After Emma died: "John was with two children and no one to take care of the, so he had a famiy take them in.
The man did some drinking and when drunk would often bet them with a cane. The
children both caught chicken pox and the infection from the chicken pox got into their eyes. Both
turned blind. Mary Jane's eye sight returned, but not Methuselah's.'.

"John next moved to Berriew, Montgomeryshire Wales. In the 1861 Census Mary Jane and Methusaleh are
with him. Methusaleh is listed as blind.
Mary Jane Came to Utah with Missionaries. Sailing on the "Emerals Isle"
{Note: I cannot find her in the Salt Lake City Cemetery Records. playing with Spelling and using Death Year.}

John left Liverpool 17 October 1877 on the steamship "Idaho'
