Dale F. Palmer, age 64 of Boone, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017, at his home.
Following his wishes, Dale has been cremated.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, March 12, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall. The family will be present, and friends may call at the Chapel on Sunday from 1 until service time.
Dale Frances Palmer was born in Boone, Iowa on November 27, 1952, the son of Richard and Mary T. (VanCannon) Palmer. He graduated from Boone High School in 1972 and served with the Iowa Army National Guard. He worked in construction as an operating engineer.
Dale enjoyed hunting and fishing and working on cars.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Betty and Rosemary, a brother Oliver ‘Muggs’, and Richie and James Lee.
Dale is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Palmer and Erik Giles of Chicago, Illinois and their children Amelia, Porter, Ruby, and Grace; two sons, Richie Palmer and wife Amy of Boone and their children, Savannah, Tessah, and Grayson; and Marty Palmer and wife Jenna of Avon, Indiana, and their daughter Vivian; a brother Paul Palmer of Ames; a sister Joyce Holmes and husband Tom of Ogden.
