Mrs. Green age 80, of Dalton departed this life on Monday, Oct. 7, 2002 at her residence after a long illness.

She was the daughter of the late Joe H. Hall and Eva Hall Waddell and was preceded in death by her husband, Jay P. Green in 1995; her brother, Forest L. Hall; and her stepfather, Reed Waddell.

Margaret was a founding member of the Pine Hill Women's Club and Red Cross volunteer with Hamilton Medical Center for many years.

Survivors include her daughter, Brenda G. Smith; and son-in-law, Ed F. Davis of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, J. Phillip Green III and Cindy of Chattanooga.

Grandchildren, Kellie and Robert McBee of Dalton; Madison A. Green, both of Chattanooga; great-grandson, Gage A. McBee of Dalton.

Brother, Herman R. Hall of Dalton; and niece, Debbie H. Barnes of Dalton.

A private services were held for the family. Love Funeral Home of Dalton were in charge of the arrangements.

(Aunt Margaret treated me like a daughter. I spent many a night sleeping over or going to VFW, ball games and other
activities. Once she decided my hair was too straight and took me on my first trip to a Beauty parlor in the 1940s...Lynda)
