ABBOTT, Diane Lloyd, ("Tootie"), 53, of Vinton, died Thursday, December 17, 1998. She was a switchboard operator with Carilion Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her father, George R. Lloyd. She is survived by her husband, Richard Calvin Abbott; one son, James Thomas Jones; one daughter, Kelly L. Lanham, both of Roanoke; her mother, Sylvia S. Lloyd, Salem; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra S. and Billy L. Petty, Buchanan; three grandchildren, Charity and Sam Wilson, Paul Lanham. Tootie was a devoted, loving mother and grandmother. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 21, at noon at the Lotz Vinton Chapel with the Rev. Paul Campbell and the Rev. William L. Crane officiating. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Lotz Vinton Chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and all day on Sunday.
