From History of Dauphin County (Kelker, 1907, Vol III, pg. 494): Christian Swartz II, son of Christian Swartz, the emigrant [of Lower Swatara Township, Dauphin County, PA] was a farmer and a very religious man, being a lay preacher although not affiliated with any church. He married Elizabeth Muma, and they were the parents of two children: Christian, and Maria, wife of Solomon Landis, of Middletown, both deceased. Mr. Swartz was about seventy years old at the time of his death, and his wife died at seventy-five. Both are buried in the old graveyard on the homestead."
