A newspaper article in Pope County Herald July 25, 1975 tells of an automobile accident north of Fargo that killed Mrs. Joseph Gandrud, 61 and Mrs. Earl Fingerson, 48. Mrs. John Schelin, 61, was with and was in the St. Luke's hospital in Fargo, N. D. afterwards. Mrs. Shelin and Mrs. Gandrud were sisters and Mrs. Gandrud is Earl Fingerson's aunt.
Mrs. Fingerson had taught in the Villard School system for 12 years. She is survived by her husband, Earl; two daughters, Mrs. DuWayne (Ann) Brandt of Hopkins, MN, & Ellen of Glenwood; two sons, Brian of Louisville, Ky. and Bruce of Glenwood; and her father Otto Knapp, of Grand Forks, N. D.
