Stone, Georgia Ives, a native of Binghamton, NY, born July 18, 1922 to George Ives and Emma Rowland Ives. Upon graduation from Binghamton High School, she relocated to California where she became employed with the California Department of Motor Vehicles and a volunteer for the Red Cross working in the local hospitals. While living in California, she met her husband of fifty years, Charles Q. Stone, a career Air Force veteran, who predeceased her June 12, 2000. With her husband, Mrs. Stone traveled the world. She lived in places such as Germany, Libya, Thailand, Okinawa, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Mrs. Stone relocated from McGuire AFB, New Jersey to MacDill AFB, in Tampa, in 1969 and has remained in the Tampa Bay area until her death Aug. 27, 2015. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon E. Hyde; her granddaughter, Sumer E. Hyde; and her son-in-law, Mark S. Hyde.
