Stone, Charles Q., 80, of Land O' Lakes died Monday (June 12, 2000) at James A. Haley VA Medical Center, Tampa. Born in Charleston, W.Va., he came to the Tampa area 31 years ago when he was assigned to MacDill Air Force Base. He retired as chief master sergeant from the Air Force, serving in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was Lutheran. He was a member of the John Darling Lodge 154 F.&A.M. for 40 years and the Egypt Temple Shrine. Survivors include his wife, Georgia; a daughter, Sharon E. Hyde, Tampa; and one grandchild.
