Funeral services for Mrs. Ruthie Valerie Carter of Delhi will be held at 11 AM on Friday, March 24, 2017 in the chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi with Rev. Kenneth King officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9 AM until time of service. Burial will follow in the Delhi Masonic Cemetery.
Mrs. Carter was born on February 14, 1940 to the union of Flora Terral and John Louis Jones one of five children.
Her parents and two brothers Wayne and Willis precede her in death.
She leaves behind her husband Ernest V. "Sonny" Carter of Delhi and three children Ronald Faves of Delhi, Donald Faves and wife Christy of West Monroe and Melanie Stokes and husband Hank of Savannah, GA; seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Ruthie is also survived by two siblings Adean Moore and husband Ray of Springhill, LA and Roy Jones of Savannah, GA and numerous nieces and nephews.
