Henry Lee Butler, 68, of Peoria passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. He was born on April 4, 1948, in Peoria to the late Lonnie Butler Sr. and Ethel Mae Coleman. He married Linda Jackson on March 25, 1978. She survives.

Henry attended Manual High School and Illinois Central College, where he studied small engines.

He served in the Vietnam War from 1968-1970.

He worked for Caterpillar, where he retired in 2009 after 35 years of service LPSD-MOS. He was a member of UAW Local 974. Henry had additional employment with the Peoria Park District.

He leaves his two sons, Sheldon Butler and Michael Williams; two daughters, Shataqua Williams and Tamara Butler; one brother, Lonnie Butler Jr.; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
