Wayne Edward Ziegenbein, 65, of 2113 Dominion Drive died Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, at his home.

Born July 19, 1939, in Pekin to William B. and Esther Blackburn Ziegenbein, he married Elaine Connerly on Aug. 20, 1960, in Creve Coeur. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, the Rev. David (and Margaret) of Raymond and Dean (and Lisa) of Pekin; two brothers, William of Long Beach, Miss., and Larry of Metropolis; and five sisters, Shirley Fryman and Carol (and Rick) Martin, both of Pekin, Linda (and Tommy) McCarver of Metropolis, Emma (and Gary) Moore of Joppa, and Sandy (and Dave) DePew of Marquette Heights.

He was preceded in death by one sister.

He worked at Morton Metalcraft for 29 years, retiring as a designer.

He was a Navy veteran, serving from 1957 to 1975.

Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
