EASTHAMPTON, Mass. -- George D. Drew, 82, of Pleasant Green, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.

Born in Southampton, and is the son of the late Kenneth and Evelyn (Bushey) Drew.

George retired as a machine operator for the former Berkshire Cable Wire Manufacturing and had served with the United States Army.

George was married to the late Ruthiejane (Sanders) Drew. He leaves his son Jason Drew of Easthampton; his brother Howard Drew of Florence; his sisters Carol LaValley of Ware, and Linda Champagne of Chicopee; and his grandson Zachary Drew,

Besides his wife he is predeceased by his brothers Bruce and Kenneth Drew and his sisters Sandra Figueroa and Nellie Pealo.

Calling hours for George will be held Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Boucher-O'Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant St., Easthampton. Burial with military honors will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery,1390 Main St., Agawam.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
