ROZELLE R. EDWARDS
Perryville -- Rozelle Padgett Reynolds Edwards, 90, of Perryville died Sunday.

Rozelle Padgett was born April 8, 1918, in Washington County, to the late Georgia Ann Cocanougher and Bert Padgett. She was employed at Palm Beach Co. in Danville, prior to graduating from Durham Beauty School. She operated the Town and Country Beauty Salon in the Pottsville Community and relocated her shop in Perryville in 1975. She was a devoted, active member of Beech Grove Baptist Church and was very active in Sunday school, which she loved.

Survivors include a son, Ruel (Jean) Reynolds of Perryville; two daughters, Ruth Ann (Ronnie) Hardwick and Brenda (Marion) Bash, both of Danville; a sister, Pearl Milburn of Springfield; and a brother, Pete Padgett of Campbellsville; a sister-in-law, Essie Padgett of Springfield; three grandchildren, Chris Reynolds of Versailles, Clay Hardwick of Frankfort, and Angie Ford of Elizabethtown; three great-great- grandchildren, Katlin, Emily and Bailey Reynolds, all of Danville.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Robert Reynolds of Washington County, in February 1972. She also married J. H. Edwards of Fredricksburg, in 1977, who died June 1985. She also was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Reynolds of Danville, December 2002, a grandson, Terry Reynolds of Perryville, in 2007, and two brothers, Fisher and G. T. Padgett.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wilder Funeral Home by the Revs. Daniel Wilson and Tim Mathis. Burial will be in Beech Fork Cemetery in Washington County.

Pallbearers will be Chris and Kent Reynolds, Clay Hardwick, Kenny Padgett, Larry Milburn, Donald and Dewayne Weakley.

Visitation is 5-9 today. Expressions of sympathy are suggested to Beech Grove Baptist Church and Heritage Hospice.
