Christina M. Hale, 88, resident of the Flathead Valley, died Thursday at Whitefish.
She was born April 22, 1890 at Watertown, South Dakota a daughter of George and Christina Kirk. She moved to the Flathead Valley with her parents in 1892 and received her schooling here.
She married Sidney B. Hale, August 16, 1916. He preceded her in death May 12, 1978. The Hales lived at Somers until 1919 when they moved to Whitefish where they resided ever since.
She was a life-time member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Vista Chapter 44.
She is survived by three sons, Arnold, Whitefish; Harold, Kennewick, Washington; and Douglas, Troy; two sisters, Mrs. Tom (Edith) Bennett, Somers; and Mrs. Ida Painter, Missoula; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
