Todd Hanson, age 54 of Moulton, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at his home.

Todd was born on June 14, 1962 in Centerville, Iowa, the son of Don and Kay (Oden) Hanson. He graduated from Centerville High School, class of 1980. After graduation, Todd earned his Associates Degree at Indian Hills Community College in Centerville. He then went to Truman State University, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business. He also earned his Nursing Home Administration Degree from DMACC.

In his youth, Todd enjoyed lifting weights. He loved football, and played for Centerville High School. Through high school and college, he worked at his family owned Western Auto Store. After high school, while attending Indian Hills, he was a statistician for the Centerville High School Big Red Football Team. He loved to fish and spend time outdoors.

After earning his degree from DMACC, he was the Nursing Home Administrator at Golden Age in Centerville. He then went to work as the Nursing Home Administrator at the Seymour Care Center. Todd also worked as an Insurance Agent for Cook Insurance for several years. Presently, he owned and operated Cost Savers Insurance in Moulton.

He love being involved in the community. He served on Pulliam Park Board of Moulton, the Senior Citizens Housing Board of Moulton, and the Moulton Economic Board.

Todd is survived by his parents, Don and Kay Hanson of Centerville; his wife, Linda Hanson of Moulton; his step-children, Jennifer (Travis) Knowler of Moulton, and Maria Knigge of Columbia, Missouri; step-grandchildren, Jayden Barnhill, Ethan Knigge, Gracie Knigge, Jaylin Knowler and Trayton Knowler; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clarence "Swede" and Beulah Hanson; his maternal grandparents, Britt and Cora Oden; as well as many aunts and uncles.

Funeral Services will be held at 10AM, Friday, March 17, 2017 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville with Pastor Lloyd Johnston officiating. Burial will follow the service at Exline Cemetery in Exline. Memorials have been established to either the Pulliam Park of Moulton, the Garrett Memorial Library in Moulton, or the Exline Cemetery, and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
