She was the daughter of Allen Sutton and Lottie Hooker. She married Belva Beck Sr. in 1933, who preceded her in death. She moved to Odessa in 1945, residing there for 56 years. She was a member of the Greater St. John Baptist Church and later joined the Bethlehem Baptist Church which her brother organized. There she was a member of the Missionary Society. Always eager and excited about praising the Lord. She touched the lives of many through her Christian spirit. . She was a retired housekeeper . She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Ruby Sutton, Shirley Mae Robinson and Robbie Lee Sutton; brother, Allen Sutton Jr.; and son, Bernell Beck. She is survived by her sons, Belva Jr. and Billy Beck Sr., both of Odessa; daughter, Florene Jones of Odessa; brother, the Rev. Roscoe Sutton of Odessa; sisters, Mildred Burts, Lucille Beck and Hazel Servance, all of Odessa; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
