D.M. Adkins, age 64, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the Pikeville Medical Center. D.M. was born on June 23, 1952 to his parents the late Frank Adkins and Bertha Hunt Adkins. He was the husband of the late Carol Jean Coleman Adkins, and a retired coal miner. Along with his wife and parents, D.M. was preceded in death by three brothers, Elmer, Frank Jr., and Allen Adkins. D.M. is survived by one son, Amos Mitchell (Shawna) Adkins, one daughter, Kristy Lynn (James) Stiltner, one sister, Linda Chapman, three brothers, Taylor, Earl, and Ricky Adkins, four grandchildren, Brady and Makenna Adkins, Colton and Brice Stiltner, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Sunday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Monday, March 13, 2017 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Coleman Family Cemetery at Kimper, Ky.
