Rosa was a former leading contralto of the Metropolitan Opera. She made her concert debut in Germany in 1891 and debuted in Brunn in 1892. She later performed at the London Covent Garden and was engaged by the Met in 1897. Rosa later sang with the Chicago Opera Company.
