She leaves behind three children, Priscilla Walker Shea, Barbara J. Claussen (Bill) and William L. Walker, III (Tylene). Five grandchildren will miss her greatly: W. Todd Thrift, Nicole T. Negvesky (Chris), Katherine S. Gagnon (Mark), John Walker Shea and William L. Walker, IV (Alaine). She was greatly loved by her great-grandchildren: Lily, Chloe & Kaden Negvesky and Maxwell & Adelaide Gagnon. Three siblings survive: Audrey H. Greenhouse (Howard), Walter Haislip and Doris Meyer. Numerous nieces and nephews will also miss her. She is further survived by stepson, Frederick G. Brems (Susan) and grandchild, Romey. Margaret was especially well cared for by Melissa Bell who she considered family, as do her children.
Margaret was married to Bill for over 40 years and to Fred for over 25 years; she was a wonderful wife and helpmate. She was extremely active in community activities including local politics, volunteering at the hospital, participating in school programs for her children and many events at her home church. She enjoyed playing bridge (often) and golfing with both her husbands, as well as “Ladies Days”. Over the years she enjoyed travel in the United States as well as abroad.
Visitation will be held Friday March 3, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Spotsylvania. Graveside services will be held on Saturday March 4, 2017 at 11 am at Pohick Church Cemetery, Lorton, VA. In Lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to you favorite charity.
