James H Parker was a life long farmer. His parents were born in Connecticut.He married his wife, Mary Ann Current, in Bloomfield Trumbull County in 1846.Mary's brother, William Current,appears on the marriage certificate. His wife preceded his death between 1870 and 1880. His oldest son, James A, died in 1964 as a Union soldier soon after enlistment.

In 1850 they settled and farmed in Newscomerstown, Oxford. His brother-in-law is living in the area. Mother-in-law is living with the Parker family. Son's James Allen(4) and John David(1) appear. They lived on plot dist 26 on the Ohio canal. After the death of his wife's mother, they moved. In 1860, the family settled in Windsor,Oh. The Civil war may have prompted a more northern location. In 1870, the growing family settled and purchased a triangle shape plot in Montville,Oh at Plank Rd and N Montville border.The 1846 farmhouse still stands and has a Century marker. The last evidence of life is in 1893 with regards to his son's, Daniel A, probate which describes 3 plots that borders and owned by his father, J H Parker.
His place of rest is a mystery and research.
