83 year old Christine Watson of Smithville died Friday at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. She was a factory worker and a member of the Banks Presbyterian Church. The funeral will be Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Greg Whaley and Bernard Houk will officiate and burial will be in the Banks Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. until the service at 3 p.m. Watson was preceded in death by her parents, Denton and Estie Mae Lawson Scurlock; husband, Thomas Watson; three brothers, Alvie, Austin and Vernon Scurlock; and a sister, Ollie Mae Scurlock Bratcher. Survivors include two daughters, Jacquelyn and Don Camillo of South Carolina and Teresa Watson Miller of Smithville. Three grandchildren, Tina and Alisha Miller, Amanda Miller, and Julie Miller Pugh all of Smithville. Two step grandchildren, Lori Grant of South Carolina and Troy Camillo of Ohio. Five great grandchildren, Alyssa and Sarah Pugh of Smithville, Alohna, Malachi, and Noah of Smithville. Five step great grandchildren. Three sisters-in-law, Ruth Scurlock of Smithville, Juanita Scurlock of Greenbriar, and Elizabeth Watson Griswold of McMinnville. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In addition to flowers, make donations to the Banks Church or the Cemetery or to Gideon Bibles.
