George L. Clapp, 71, * died December 13, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H. O.Brock, Waverly. He leaves three daughters, Mrs. A. C. Potter of this city. Miss Anna B. Clapp of Trumansburg and Mrs. H. O. Brock of Waverly; five sons, C.
M. of Elmira; Clarence and Raymond Clapp of Syracuse and Harry and Walter Clapp of New York City.
He was a veteran and also a son of a veteran of the Civil War, a member of Company 21st New York Cavalry. The funeral was held today in Waverly and the body will be brought here for burial in Lake View Cemetery at 4 o'clock tomorrow morning.[sic]

Engraved shield on stone with bas relief lettering. Very worn, with a repaired crack
Also on a square stone monument with his wife. "CLAPP" in bas relief on top of stone, Names and full dates on face of stone.
