Charles E. Bartlett, 41, of Rte. Hubbard Road, died unexpectedly at 3:25 p.m. yesterday. Mr. Bartlett, a driver with the Surbanan Transit Lines, was a lifelong resident of Bibb County, the son of Walter E. Bartlett and the late Julia May Pitts Bartlett. He was a member of Lanier Heights Baptist Church, a veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 658. Surviving are his widow, the former Miss Louise Wimberly, Macon; two daughters, Marie Bartlett and Jo Leigh Bartlett, both of Macon; three sons, Timothy Bartlett, Macon; Walter Bartlett and J. Andy Bartlett, both of the U. S. Army in Germany; father, Walter E. Bartlett, Macon; three sisters, Mrs. W. E. Comer, Warner Robins; Mrs. James M. Ennis and Mrs. James N. Ennis and Mrs. Viola Brock, both of Macon; two brothers, Joseph Bartlett, Griffin; and Everette L. Bartlett, Macon, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Hart's Mortuary.
